An entry in a bibliography or list of works which appears at the conclusion of a piece of work.
Citing provides an indication in your text of information used from other sources. It needs to be made exactly where you used a source of information. This is a brief marker or connector to full information in the bibliography.

The College suggests use of MLA as a general rule, though specific departments and teachers/supervisors prefer you to use another style. Please check with your supervisor as to the preferred style. Because of this, the Library Service has developed LibGuides on the four major styles.
